The latest box will installed at the Portage Fire Station #2, marking the first new one since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The box is officially able to be used at 10am Thursday morning.
An anonymous donor paid for the Safe Haven Baby Box, calling the organization directly and asking where one was needed the most. Indiana remains the most prominent proponent of the baby boxes now with 22 out of 26 across the country.
The boxes have helped some 75 women with children through their program. Indiana’s Safe Haven Law allows a person to surrender a newborn no older than 30 days without fear of prosecution.

If you chain a dog to a tree outside you will probably be prosecuted for it. Abort(murder) an unborn baby or even just abandon it in a box and your a hero. We are all going to Hell!!!
The baby isn’t just dumped in a box. Authorities are immediately alerted when its been used so the baby is safe. Which is why it’s called safe haven.
