It’s Free Fishing Weekend in Indiana this Saturday and Sunday.

This weekend kicks off National Fishing and Boating Week, which is June 6-14, and highlights the importance of recreational boating and fishing.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says June is a great time to fish for largemouth bass, sunfish, catfish and Skamania steelhead.

For public fishing areas and access sites, visit on.IN.gov/where2fish.

This year’s final Free Fishing day will be September 26.
