Man arrested in connection to shooting in Goshen

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Goshen that injured three people.

Around 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, Goshen Police were called to the  300 block of S. 10th Street on the report of shots fired, stemming from a fight.

On arrivial, police found three people who had been struck by ginfire, as well as a vehicle which was also struck.

The victims were

  • A 15 year old girl, who was standing on the porch of a nearby home and was grazed in her neck. She was treated and released.
  • A 25-year-old Goshen man, who was struck in the ankle. He was treated and
    released.
  • A 20-year-old Goshen man, who was struck in the upper and lower leg. He was treated, admitted, and currently is listed in stable condition.

The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Christopher Landeros, 18, of
Goshen, on initial charges Aggravated Assault, Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm without a Permit. He was arrested and transported to the Elkhart County Jail.
