The coronavirus has impacted every area of our lives, and a well-known lawmaker from Southwest Michigan is working to protect the energy industry.
Congressman Fred Upton testified Tuesday before the US House Subcommittee on Energy, where he supported policies that would help energy producers recover from the impacts of COVID-19.
Upton said it’s important to remove regulatory obstacles and build on the work being done under the CARES Act with programs and changes.
He also says the country needs to position the energy industry to be better positioned to resist shocks like the coronavirus.
