Marshall County Blueberry Festival canceled due to COVID-19 concerns

It’s arguably one of the biggest community events during late summer each year, but it won’t be taking place this year.

The Marshall County Blueberry Festival, set for September 4-7, has been canceled.

According to a Facebook post from the City of Plymouth’s Mayor’s Office, the Board of Director and volunteers have decided they cannot realistically meet all of Governor Eric Holcomb’s requirements in the reopening of the state and because of that and with the best interest and consideration of the safety and well-being of the vendors, patrons, volunteers and the county, they’ve decided to cancel.

It would have been the 54th year for the festival.

As heartbroken as they say they are, they say they will come back strong for next year, September 3-6, 2021.
