MHSAA says Fall sports schedule will begin as traditionally scheduled

The Michigan High School Athletic Association member schools say they will start their Fall sports as planned.

MHSAA officials will have “contingency concepts” in place for potential interruptions due to the spread of COVID-19.

The announcement, made Friday morning, comes after discussions held earlier in the week to discuss the possibility of beginning sports in August.

The Council will meet again on July 29 for further discussion. As of now, high school football practices are scheduled to begin August 10, with all other Fall sports to start practice August 12.
