Whitmer expands Michigan mask order for children

The State of Michigan has expanded their mask requirement to include more children.

Thursday, Governor Whitmer signed a new order that said more children will have to wear masks or face coverings at camps, day care centers, and other indoor facilities.

Whitmer said Michigan is seeing outbreaks of coronavirus that are related to those facilities, which suggests young children can contract and spread the illness beyond what was previously suspected.

The order requires children age 2 and older to wear the masks on public transportation and school buses. She also encourages parents to have children 2 and up wear them in any indoor space, but didn’t make that a requirement.

I’m waiting, and have been waiting, for Whitless to tell us the science she is using to justify her outrageous orders. I haven;t been able to find any elsewhere.
