The new AP College Football Poll ranks Notre Dame #10…but things are a bit cloudy.

That’s because the preseason Top 25 poll also ranks three teams higher than the Fighting Irish that have cancelled their fall sports seasons over coronavirus concerns.

If there is a college football season, 54 bowl subdivision teams won’t be included after postponing their seasons to the spring. That list includes #2 Ohio State, #7 Penn State, and #9 Oregon.

So far the Big Ten and PAC-12 have cancelled fall sports, and the Mid-American and Mountain West conferences are looking at spring football.
