Police: Woman caught with cell phone while driving tries to flee traffic stop

A woman in LaPorte has been arrested for trying to run away from sheriff’s deputies during a traffic stop twice.

Sheila Kinney was pulled over when a deputy spotted her holding her cell phone while she was driving, which is now illegal under a new state law.

The deputy says when he was trying to cite her for the violation, she took off down the 1st street in LaPorte and then stopped.

As he tried to talk to her again after that, she sped away again and eventually stopped a second time.

Other deputies arrived and they got Kinney out of the car and she refused to do so willingly and arrested her for resisting law enforcement.

Idiot three times. She was probably trying to complete her call which is obviously the most important thing on earth. More important that obeying the law or other peoples lives. Maybe a little time away from her phone will give her some perspective.

I think she was immulating the morons she sees on TV…Problem was she was not pretend protesting or looting. They would have let her go for sure if she was.

People are idiots . This is what happens when no one respects authority or admit when they are wrong . So now instead of a ticket she will get a criminal charge. I hope she pays though the nose for being an idiot.
