One person is recovering after being shot in South Bend.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, officers were called to the 1800 block of Huey Street in the report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they learned the victim drove to Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.

Further investigation lead officers to the 2800 block of Elwood where one person was detained.
