A 28-year-old man from Illinois was taken to a hospital this week after he fell from the back of a pickup truck driven by another man, who police say had four times the legal amount of alcohol in his system.

The incident happened late last week on the upper level of a parking garage at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City.

The driver, Joshua Brazeal, 32, was taken to jail on two counts of OWI and one count of reckless driving. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in South Bend. The extent of his injuries was not immediately disclosed.

The investigation is ongoing.
