It all started when the woman went to 36 year old Eddie Sims Jr’s home to find that he had been drinking, and was already angry at her for not visiting the night before. Over the next several hours she would try, and fail, to escape the home following brutal beatings by Sims’.

According to The Elkhart Truth she would endure being kicked, punched, kneed, and spat on for three hours before she got out. She may also have passed out and concussed in the beatings.

Sims is facing three felony charges for criminal confinement and domestic battery. His bond is set at $150,000.
