Michigan quarterback Dylan McCaffrey has opted out of playing this season, and is seeking a transfer.

The Detroit News reported Wednesday that the announcement came shortly after the Big 10 announced they would play a 9-game season.

McCaffrey was competing for the starting job with Joe Milton and Cade McNamara. He will graduate in December and has two years of eligibility remaining.
