The Notre Dame Police Department has released an equity in policing report written in collaboration with black students at the University.

NDPD says they received requests for a report from students, faculty, staff and alumni. According to The Observer the report acknowledges the role played by the Notre Dame Police in the criminal justice system and the role law enforcement has played in the “dehumanization, oppression, and the infringement of basic civil and human rights of people” in the US.

The report pledged to hold NDPD accountable, and detailed a series of new and existing initiatives, including the use of cameras, to prevent systemic racism.

The goal is to make it so no black person can be arrested for any reason, EVER.

That really doesn’t seem like equality to me, and it’s not. That’s why they are trying to use “equity” now.
