Suspect arrested after deadly shooting in Sturgis

An arrest has been made in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in Sturgis.

Police were called around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, to the 500 block of North Prospect Street where they found the 33-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC-57.

The victim was taken to Sturgis Hospital where they died.

A 35-year-old suspect was taken into custody on a preliminary homicide charge.

Thee was no immediate word on the circumstances that led to the shooting.
