Football Fridays will continue in South Bend.

The Courtyard by Marriott, in partnership with Downtown South Bend, Inc. and Visit South Bend Mishawaka, have decided to schedule three more tailgates following the success of the September 18 event.

Free, family-friendly tailgates will take place on the Gridiron on the Fridays of Notre Dame home game weekends, including October 9, October 16 and November 6.

The October 9 event will feature a special guest appearance by former Irish Quarterback Brandon Wimbush, who will be signing autographs and taking pictures from 5-7 p.m.

The public is encouraged to grab carryout from a downtown eatery to enjoy on the Gridiron during each event. There will be live music by Ultrafab from 5:30-8 p.m. and a cash bar.

The seating area will be physically distanced and cleaned throughout the event. Hand sanitizer will be made available, and masks will be required except when eating and drinking.
