Girl, 3, dies after being dropped off at hospital with life-threatening injuries

The child that was dropped off to Memorial Hospital with severe injuries earlier this week has died. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office says an autopsy for Kardie Rose Weathersby, 3, is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 19.

The following information was sent to 95.3 MNC from the prosecutor’s office:

St. Joseph County –This afternoon at approximately 3:45 p.m., the injured child
dropped off at Memorial Hospital on October 13th was pronounced deceased. She has been
identified as Kardie Rose Weathersby, Female, 3 years old of South Bend, Indiana.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday morning, October 19th, in Fort Wayne,
Indiana.

At this time, this remains an active and on-going CMHU investigation, and we will release
more information as we are able to do so. At this time, no arrests have been made or
charges filed in connection with this investigation. Anyone with information is asked to
