Police in Portage looking for suspect who tried to film women in store restroom

Police in Portage are looking for a man who snuck into a public restroom to film women.

On Wednesday afternoon, police were called to Bass Pro Shops at 6425 Daniel Burnham Drive.

Employees had called officers after a woman reported a man entered the women’s restroom and used a cell phone to record the people using the bathroom.

On Thursday, Portage police released images taken from Bass Pro Shops’ surveillance footage to identify the man.

At the time of the crime, he was wearing an orange shirt and black pants. Anyone with information is asked to call 219-762-3122.
