The bicyclist killed in an apparent hit-and-run in South Bend has been identified.

Cory Martin, 20, died after he was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Martin was struck while riding a bike around 8:20 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, at Edison Road and Helmen Drive in South Bend.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Martin left the scene after the collision, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team was activated to assist with the investigation.

FACT is looking for a red Hyundai Sonata (2015-2017 model) with right front end damage.
