Autopsy: Girl, 3, dropped off at hospital died due to blunt force trauma

The toddler who was dropped off at Memorial Hospital last week with critical injuries, then died, was the victim of a homicide, according to autopsy results.

The autopsy conducted on Kardie Rose Weathersby, 3, indicates she died due to blunt force trauma.

Police were called to the hospital, just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, on the report that Weatherby was at the hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The case remains an active and ongoing Metro Homicide investigation. So far, there is no word of any arrests.
