Notre Dame’s president says he has concerns about proposed changes from homeland security regarding international students.

The Reverend John Jenkins wrote a letter to the acting Secretary of DHS about the new policy proposal that would make it more difficult for students from overseas to enroll in US universities.

If approved, there would be limits on international students and exchange visitors to a fixed period of two to four years.

You can read Father Jenkins’ letter here.

Sounds reasonable, however the “increased funding” for DHS required to track these students should rightly be paid by the student and/or University rather than the American taxpayer.
