A LaGrange County woman who was never tested for COVID-19 has received a letter saying she tested positive.

The Topeka woman says she signed up to get tested after she and some co-workers felt sick, but never went through with the test.

Despite that, she says she got a letter from the Indiana State Department of Health, stating she tested positive.

The letter was addressed to Myers but had the location of a MedStat COVID-19 testing site in Nappanee as the address, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, which report the state health department has been notified and that the most likely explanation was that the letter was sent to the wrong person with the same name.
