It turns out the same was true of the rest of the country.

NBC’s broadcast of the game was watched by 10.1 million viewers, the best college football audience so far this season.

Additionally, the hour or so of the game that was on the USA Network during President-Elect Biden’s victory speech had the biggest audience for college football on cable TV this season, with 2.2 million viewers.
