Man shot during domestic incident at Elkhart gas station

On November 19, 2020 at 10:3O a.m. officers were dispatched to the B.P. gas station, 935 N. Nappanee Street, in regard to a domestic situation.

The adult female victim was still on scene and spoke with officers. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of pain.

Officers learned that the suspect, a 22 year-old man, had left the scene.

Officers located the suspect near the 300 block of Crawford Street.

The suspect had a gunshot wound to his arm after being shot by a a man who had intervened at the domestic dispute as it unfolded at the gas station. The suspect was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrest has been made at this time.
