The National Federation of Small Businesses says more than half of the small businesses in the country are trying to hire right now.

Small business job growth continued in December, though the gains remain uneven as parts of the economy slow down due to state-mandated closures, and consumer resistance to spending.

Inside Indiana Business reports that small business employers are looking to fill their open positions, with about 17% of them saying they plan to create new jobs in the next three months.
