Lights out at the Concord Mall due to an unpaid utility bill

(Amanda Wilkinson/Elkhart Truth)

Mallwalkers and shoppers at the Concord Mall found themselves in the dark on Wednesday when the lights went out in the common areas.

WSBT reports that it was due to an unpaid utility bill for the mall, which was sold nearly one year ago. The new owners were behind in paying the bill, so service was turned off.

The lights are expected to be back on by the end of the week.
