Elkhart man sentenced for machine gun charge

An Elkhart man was sentenced last week after pleading guilty to possession of machine guns.

Joshua Ray, 29, was given a sentence of 41 months in prison, and 2 years of supervised release.

Court documents say he pleaded guilty to possessing auto switch devices that could convert semi-automatic pistol into a fully automatic weapon. A package bound for Ray containing 40 auto switch devices was intercepted by police in May of 2019.
