Niles man arrested after police discover drug trafficking evidence in home

A Niles man was arrested Wednesday after police executed a search warrant and discovered drugs.

Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) detectives performed the search at a home in the 1100 block of Phoenix Street, where they found more than an ounce of cocaine, an unregistered pistol and evidence of drug trafficking.

ABC 57 News reports a 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene for allegedly delivering/manufacturing cocaine and maintaining a drug house. Police are also seeking charges for others who were present at the time of the search.

What exactly does “unregistered pistol” mean? Are you stating that MI has firearm registration?
