Bethel University has a new interim president.

Vice President for Academic Services Barbara Bellefeuille will begin her new role as the school’s president on June 1, when current President Gregg Chenowith moves on to a new appointment in Illinois.

In the past year she’s been instrumental in the successful modifications made to Bethel to respond to the COVID crisis.

She’s the second female vice president at Bethel, and the first woman to become acting president.
