COVID Hazard pay for Michigan teachers

Michigan’s teachers and school staff who have worked during the pandemic will receive hazard pay.

The state’s Department of Treasury says the payments of up to $500 will go out by February 25.

The payments are the result of grant programs that recognize public and nonprofit nonpublic teachers and staff at the K-12 level who had to work more than usual and deal with additional expenses related to the transition to online learning. An application process was in progress in December.

For more details, visit the state treasury department’s website.

Teachers and school staff…

What about grocery store clerks? Medical staff? Garbage men? First responders?

Please, stop with this stupid pandering to the teachers unions. It’s sickening!
