Snow totals from this weekend’s winter storm

(Photo supplied/ABC 57)

Michiana is snow covered and travel is slow on this Sunday morning, Jan. 31. The heaviest snow will continue to fall early this morning, and gradually becoming lighter through the late morning and afternoon. There won’t be much more of an accumulation of snow this afternoon. The snow will gradually taper off overnight.

Temperatures are in the upper 20s to start the morning, with a high around 33 this afternoon.

It is still windy – some snow is being blown around as it falls. We have heavy, wet snow. This is good for building a snowman, but make sure you don’t overexert yourself when you shovel.

The roads could still be a bit snowy, Monday morning, so you may need to extend your commute time. Otherwise, the week starts quiet Monday through Wednesday. Thursday another system will pass, but with temperatures in the upper 30s, it will be a mix of rain and snow before turning to all snow Friday morning.

Don’t be an alarmist. It is NOT a winter storm. It is a winter weather advisory. You people need to quit the dramatics.
