Indiana has passed 12 thousand COVID-19 deaths after the state’s three deadliest months of the pandemic.

This news came Wednesday after 52 new more deaths were reported by the Department of Health on Wednesday, bringing the state to a new total of 12,001 confirmed and presumed fatalities.

Indiana’s rates of new infections, hospitalizations, and deaths have declined steeply since peaking in early December, but the state still saw more than 1900 deaths in January.
