Indiana University says they are planning on in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies for the 2020 and 2021 graduates.

IU says the plan is for all campuses, and they are targeting the month of May for both classes. Attendance will be limited to graduates, according to an email from IU President Michael McRobbie. For the safety of family and friends, they will be able to watch virtually.

He says the decision to cancel the graduation ceremony last year was “agonizing” and more details on the planned schedule will be provided soon. The school has also announced that spring football will begin on March 9.
