Notre Dame will sit out the new EA Sports College Football game until there is legislation about compensating student athletes

Notre Dame will not participate in the upcoming new EA Sports College Football video game, according to Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick.

He says the school won’t commit to the return of the popular game franchise until Notre Dame can be certain how student athletes will be able to benefit from the use of their own names, images and likenesses.

Swarbrick says that as those rules are established for the compensation of the players, the University will revisit the decision. A ruling is expected eventually.
