Officer Joshua Owens (provided by the Goshen PD)

Goshen Police Officer Joshua Owens is facing two felony charges for an incident that led to his suspension last November.

Owens, who was hired by the force in December of 2007, is charged with one count of strangulation and one count of domestic battery in the presence of a child under the age of 16.

Police Chief Jose’ Miller has asked the city to move forward on the officer’s suspension without pay. Mayor Stutsman was informed of the charges on Monday and said he will remain fair in judgement pending the results of a hearing.
