Michigan easing some COVID restrictions

Michigan will ease COVID-19 restrictions on restaurants, additional businesses and personal gatherings starting Friday.

The changes include 50% indoor dining capacity, which is twice what the limit had been.

Tuesday’s announcement also allowed for more capacity at gyms, casinos and sporting venues, and more people allowed at private gatherings.

Governor Whitmer said the state is making steady progress against the virus, and is taking “additional incremental steps to re-engage” in a way that ensures the state is protecting families and front-line workers, and saving lives.
