Update: Investigators with the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit arrested Ernest Clark, Jr., 20, of South Bend, in connection with the March 1, shooting death of Elijah Torres, 18, in the 1500 block of Liston Street in South Bend.

Clark was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on preliminary suspicion of murder.

Original Story: St. Joseph County Metro Homicide is seeking two people for questioning in connection with a fatal shooting early Monday morning in the 1500 block of Liston Street.

South Bend Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert shortly before 4:30 a.m. and found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

18 year-old Elijah Torres of South Bend was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials are trying to locate 20 year-old Ernest Clark and 19 year-old Ernysia Clark for questioning.

An autopsy for Elijah Torres has not yet been announced.
