An Elkhart event center is now home to a new boat manufacturing plant.

Bennington Boats is leasing the building previously known as Center Six-One-Five on County Road 15.

They plan to begin pontoon boat production is soon and need to fill 75 job openings. The owner of Center Six-One-Five tells The Elkhart Truth they decided to close the event center due to the pandemic.

Center-Six-One-Five opened in 2017 and hosted countless business and trade events, weddings and even 95-3 MNC’s Noise in 2018 and 2019.
