Elkhart man arrested after leading police on two separate pursuits

A suspect was arrested on after leading police in Goshen on two separate pursuits.

Officers spotted a stolen vehicle on Wednesday, April 7, and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver led them on a pursuit through the city and got away.

Then, Thursday morning, officers spotted the same vehicle and a second pursuit began.

The suspect driver, Dillion Scholl, 22, of Elkhart, led officers on a chase into New Paris where investigators say he tried to hide at an acquaintance’s home.

Police surrounded the home and Scholl eventually was arrested.

Scholl faces meth and gun charges, as well as resisting and reckless driving charges.
