Studies suggest the pandemic has caused birth issues

The pandemic has led to a number of pregnancy-related deaths, according to multiple studies.

An analysis of 40 different studies from 17 countries shows more pregnant women died and more stillbirths were reported during the COVID pandemic.

The New York Times says the study, published last week, suggested that pregnant women face a heightened risk of severe illness and death if infected with the coronavirus.

The studies focused on the data from more than six million pregnancies.
