Police in Indiana are stepping up efforts to find school bus stop arm violators

Police in Indiana are working hard to crack down on school bus stop arm violations.

It’s part of a statewide event called the Stop Arm Violation Enforcement, or S.A.V.E. Blitz. There will be extra patrols following school buses and focusing on known spots where people ignore the warnings.

WNDU reports that since the blitz began police in Mishawaka have already caught more than 10 violations. Police say some of the violations involve ignorance of the law, others are the fault of distracted driving.

The S.A.V.E. Blitz ends on May 16.
