Michigan has extended its current COVID-19 restriction.

The announcement, made Friday, extends the current public health order for one month. This requires mask wearing, limited capacity at most businesses, testing for youth athletics, and 50% capacity for indoor dining, small private gatherings.

But the new order also includes new requirements for children, including mandatory masks for kids as young as two.

These moves come as Governor Whitmer and state health officials continue to beg Michiganders to get vaccinated, wear masks, and practice other safety measures to fight the continued spread of COVID in the state.
