The State of Michigan has issued guidance for schools on how to celebrate graduations ceremonies and other milestones this year as safely as possible.

The state Health Department says proms, graduations and year-end parties for the school year can be made safe with just a bit of pre-planning. They offer guidance for schools and families looking for ways to hold their events, and for schools looking to implement end-of-year testing.

Based on the latest epidemiology statistics for the virus across Michigan, the state is recommending virtual events as the safest option.
