Hurricane deck boats set to break ground on new facility

Hurricane deck-boats, an innovator in versatile deck-boat designs, announced it has started production on a new facility in Syracuse.

The facility, located at 300 west Chicago Street, will be used to increase production capacities, the company said. The property includes a 120,000-square-foot production plant, as well as 20,000 square feet of shipping and warehousing space.

The expansion to this facility, owned by parent company Polaris Boat Group and well appointed for the production of fiberglass boats, will result in an addition of 50 to 60 new staff in direct, indirect and supervisory roles.

New positions will include assembly, lamination, fiberglass repair, maintenance, quality assurance and materials professionals.
