A man with a handgun was arrested on Concord High School property Tuesday evening.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office was notified by a Concord School Police Officer that the “agitated” man was at the front gate of the football field around 7 p.m. Tuesday, and refused to leave.

He was identified as 54 year-old Edd Willhelm, and had a concealed permit card on him with the gun at the time of his arrest. When his weapon was returned to him he began to wave it in front of him and was taken into custody for possession of a firearm on school property, and criminal trespassing.

Indiana has no such thing as a “concealed permit card” so I’m wondering why the writer is so poorly informed.
