Man struck and killed by train in Warsaw

One person was struck and killed Thursday night by a train in Warsaw.

Officials with Norfolk Southern say the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. along the tracks behind the properties along North Ellsworth Street, north of the Lyon Street crossing.

The train was en route to Elkhart.

Officials did not release the name of the individual who was struck, but Warsaw Police confirmed it was an adult male.

The incident remains under investigation.
