Woman pleads guilty to embezzling funds from her employer

(Tommie Lee/MNC)

A Granger woman has pleaded guilty to charges that she embezzled more than $100,000 from a vineyard where she worked.

The Herald Palladium reports that 60 year-old Lorraine Branum stole the money from Arrowhead Vineyard, where she was the office manager, between November 2018 and January 2020.

She issued extra paychecks to herself and forged her boss’s signature.

Branum faces sentencing next month and faces up to 30 years in prison as a repeat offender.
