A hot, dry weekend ahead for Michiana

(Photo supplied/ABC 57)

(Maci Tetrick/ABC 57 Meteorologist) We’re in for a warm, mostly dry weekend.

The U.V. index will be high on both Saturday and Sunday, so remember your sunscreen as you go outdoors to enjoy the warmth.

On Saturday, we’ll climb into the mid to upper 80s with partly sunny skies.

Sunday is slightly cooler, in the low to mid 80s. We could see a few afternoon showers or an isolated thunderstorm tomorrow, otherwise most of the day stays dry.

There’s a better chance for showers and thunderstorms starting Monday, with an active pattern to follow Tuesday through Thursday. This week temperatures start in the 80s, with a cool down into the 70s Thursday through next weekend.

Your ABC 57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Center Forecast:

Saturday: Morning clouds / afternoon clearing. High 88.

Saturday Night: Few clouds. Low 66.

Sunday: Partly cloudy. Isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm. High 84.

Monday: Isolated thunderstorms. High 86.
