April was another record-breaking month for the R-V industry

(Sam Householder/Elkhart Truth)

April was another record-breaking month for the R-V industry. Factories shipped nearly 52,000 units.

That’s a a more than 600% increase over April of last year, but you need to keep in mind that factories were closed due to the pandemic.

Manufacturers have now set new RV shipment records during each of the past six months.

Analysts say it’s due in large part to the reduction in air travel and hotel closures due to the pandemic, though times were good for the recreational vehicle industry even before anybody ever heard of COVID-19.
