Parts of Howard Street in South Bend are closed for streetscape work

Early summer streetscape improvements are closing down parts of Howard Street and Corby Boulevard, starting Monday June 7.

The project includes new sidewalks, curbs, pavement, streetlights, and storm sewers along Howard and Corby.

Expect the work to close both roads in a stretch from Frances Street to SR 23, as well as the intersection at Howard and Eddy.

At the end of the month the second phase will close Corby from Frances Street to South Bend Avenue.

Both projects will end on July 15, weather permitting.
